Our organization is patterned after, but not affiliated with, other organizations operating in the Albany area, Westchester County, New York City, and at various locations throughout the Northeast. You will find references to Friendly Sons organizations through the Internet dating back over 150 years. Our local organization will include Sons and Daughters.

Annual Dinner

The Inaugural Dinner was held on March 15, 2000 and contributions were made to the Flax Trust of Belfast, Ireland, the Irish Children's Fund of Rochester, and the Scholarship Fund administered by the St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee.

2020 Event Information:

This year's event will be held on Thursday March 12, 2020.

The 21th annual dinner will begin at 6:00pm, concluding at 10:00pm.

The evening will start at 6:00 p.m. and end by 10:00 p.m.

As with past years, we will have Maureen McGuire from News Channel 8 as our emcee and music will be provided by the Everheart.

The Friendly Sons and Daughters of St. Patrick of the Finger Lakes Region, Inc. has been formed primarily to hold an annual event on or about St. Patrick's Day. The annual event serves as a forum at which local community and business leaders of Irish descent are recognized and St. Patrick is honored. The annual event is also used to raise funds for charity, and the proceeds are made available to charitable groups.
